Dear Friends

Posting here one of the live recording of my song presented on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Anniversary at Vedanta Center, Geneva on 20th Jan 2013. Respected Amarananda Swamiji of Vedanta Center wanted me to sing this song for the occasion along with the famous song Mano Chalo Nija Niketane. Since I was busy for some other upcoming stuffs, I could not ask my Tabalji for this occasion. So I had to manage  these songs with my Talamala. Somehow, this time my husband was present, so  he could record this song in the iPhone and as its really easy to upload a video directly from the phone without any file conversion, I could post the video so soon. Otherwise there are some of my previous concert recordings which are still to be converted. I wish to publish them also.

There was no microphone, so the sound quality is not that good, but I hope you like it.

Hi Friends

Its for no particular reason but, I am feeling immensely happy and positive as this new year begins. I would like to believe that this new year will bring some great things and changes in my life by the grace of God.  So to start, the very first song to begin this new year contains all natural sounds, things that I like the most. The sound of my Tanpura, the chirping of morning birds, the rain, the cloud and all that are pristine and pure. 

I can never thank enough to The Almighty for the gift of music to me. Wish you all happiness and success..

Maa Hembarani, Live Recording from Last Year

Dear Friends
Its been long since my last post. I hope you all must have celebrated Navaratri and Duga Puja with all enthusiasm and spirit. I too had a wonderful time. Durga Puja is celebrated at Vedantic Centre, Geneva here like every year. Navaratri is a very special time for me always and the arrival of Maa Durga gives me lot of  hopes, courage  and belief to do my work with all spirit. I performed at few places on this occasion, I will post some of them soon. For the time being I am just posting a live recording of one of my song from last year.  I sang it on somebody's request. Its a very old Bengali song and I love it immensely.  My singing is not up to standard here. It could have sound much better with practice, good arrangement and proper recording. I wish you like it.
