'L comme la lune' literally meaning Like the moon" is an ambitious project by Choreographer Luanda Mori hailing from Brazil. I am part of the project due to Luanda who wanted a pure Hindustani Classical Vocalist as per the demand of the script. I am really happy to work on this project though it was tough initially to understand the project completely . It was necessary for me to know that the portion of singing was connected to the entire play in a broader way and has significance in ending the play in a good note.
'L comme la lune' is play exploring the sacred and feminine symbolism thereby continuing the quest, the link between art and spirituality. Inspired by the symbolism of Hatha yoga, the creation explores the feminine and masculine strength through the powerful image of the moon reflecting the elevation of the spirit and beauty of the soul.
"The crescent moon adorning the matted hair of Shiva
And the bracelet broke in love quarrel,
It brings together the form of a ring.
The smiling face, the daughter of the mountain
Shiva said: Look!
May Shiva, be Girija,
May this moon be

We Protect ".
I sing & so I live...
